We have enjoyed a significant degree of success, from simple District Investigations through to COP9 cases. Of our last five tax investigations closed, four resulted in none of the additional tax sought being paid and the fifth just some 10% of it.. The reasons for this success include:

• My strongly worded book "The Taxpayer Strikes Back" has prompted HMRC to set up a team to work directly with us to address my complaints!
• I have a lifetime of experience in dealing with every imaginable type of case. Having also drafted legislation, the interpretation of Case Law is straightforward.
• From working extensively within the System I have a clear understanding of how to lawfully work cases to the maximum benefit of the client.
• We do not seek adversity and much prefer to work cases in a manner of sensible cooperation with HMRC. Faced however with intransigent Inspectors, perceptions of power are meaningless. They are junior managers employed to assist with the administration of the UK Tax System.

We are NOT an anonymous organisation with seniors, juniors and other assorted staff. The technical aspect of each case is dealt with by a specified person. I personally oversee every case and deal with all negotiations with HMRC.
