All negotiations with HMRC are dealt with personally by Martyn
Arthur; the Principal of the company, his experience includes the
following:
- Some 20 years employment within HMRC (Inland Revenue) Inspectorate
& the general Civil Service including several years drafting
primary legislation laid before Parliament. Deriving from this
a thorough understanding of HMRC's structure, methodology and,
most importantly, how to deal effectively with their investigations.
- Subsequently Principal of a substantial accountancy practice
leading naturally to a specialisation in Investigation and Appeal
cases.
- Published Author of two books on Tax Investigations.
- University Course Lecturer in Accountancy & Taxation in
AAT & BSc. Syllabuses.
- Delivery of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) Lectures
on Fraud, Tax Investigations and Appeal Tribunals to ACCA and
similarly Qualified Accountants.
- Representation at "new" Judicial Appeal Tribunal System.
- Representation at "old system" Local and Special Commissioners.
- Expert Witness Evidence at Crown Courts throughout the UK.
- Personal Witness Evidence at 30 + County Court Cases.
