TRAINING
A common "issue" I encounter from accountants of all
disciplines is of not having been trained about the [limited] power
that tax inspectors have, and how to deal with them on a one to
one basis.
I offer an interactive* presentation suitable for any audience,
CPD Lectures, Groups of Accountancy Office Staff, Meetings of Business
Proprietors, individuals et al.

I address:
| 1. |
HMRCs' remit is to challenge situations. |
| 2. |
HMRC's "power" is limited to requiring
data, and inspecting premises. |
| 3. |
It is for the individual to disprove "adverse"
conclusions. |
| 4. |
Everything that HMRC does is appealable at Tribunal. |
| 5. |
The Tribunal Service is free. |
| 6. |
Going to appeal is not negative. |
| 7. |
Appeal affords an objective assessment by an independent
Tribunal Judge. |
| 8. |
A solution on appeal is potentially a more objective
outcome than an ongoing battle with HMRC. |
*Presentations are not Sit, Listen, Ask at the end. Delegates are
not only invited but positively encouraged to participate with question
and contributions. All taxes and situations are open to discussion,
save only consideration of the detail of legislation which is not
appropriate for an open forum discussion.
Advice on the detail of legislation is available separately.
